Events

Since January 2001 ICPUS has organised open meetings or conferences twice a year. These have taken place at venues around the country from Aberdeen to Kilmarnock, Monifieth, Edinburgh, Wishaw and Dumfries. Presentations and workshops have been held on many and varied topics (listed on the conference page). These have involved staff from such areas as Change & Innovation (Scotland & NHS Wales), Redesign, community & acute sectors, medical/nursing/AHP and clinical governance.

On top of these open meetings/conferences the Clinical Resource and Audit Group (CRAG, now part of NHS Quality Improvement Scotland) provided funding for our first two truly national ICP conferences. These were held in the Lister Institute, Edinburgh in January 2003 and at Wishaw General on August 27th 2004. Attendance was approximately 120 people at each. See the conference page for a full list.

At each meeting there is space for posters, table displays of literature (books and journal articles), ICP documents and various handouts (leaflets, website lists, conference flyers etc).

NHS Quality Improvement Scotland (QIS) have recently published draft standards for ICPs in mental health.  While these contain condition specific elements, the generic aspects of the standards should be of interest to anyone involved in the development of ICPs.  For the latest news see the QIS website.
